Necessary steps include preparing the house, completing the legal disclosures, advertising, showing, negotiating, ordering the title work, scheduling inspections, getting appraisals, handling legal issues, and closing. Your past experience with selling a home may help if it was a similar price range.

Your schedule and finances may also help. Can you give up nights and weekends to wait by the phone for buyer calls? Are you comfortable paying for all the advertising?
