 Is Your Marketing Plan Working For You?

 

For Sale By Owner (FSBO) just might work for you! Perhaps a neighbor or drive-by visitor will make a fair offer so you can save a commission. If so, I congratulate you! Will your deal go all the way to deed transfer without a legal or credit hitch? Necessary steps include preparing the house, completing the legal disclosures, advertising, showing, negotiating, ordering the title work, scheduling inspections, getting appraisals, handling legal issues, and closing. Your past experience with selling a home may help if it was a similar price range.

Your schedule and finances may also help. Can you give up nights and weekends to wait by the phone for buyer calls? Are you comfortable paying for all the advertising? Are you familiar with the forms and documents? Have you lined up the right lawyers and title companies to serve you? Will you be okay with letting strangers into your home? Is Looming Foreclosure Driving "For Sale By Owner"

For Sale By Owner may be an option for some! But when foreclosure is looming you need action fast and mistakes at this point are not an option! Many in this poistion are not aware that there are options that their lender may not have shared with them. Forbearance, refinance, interest-only payments, and short-sale all come to mind.
